บทคัดย่อ

                       การศึกษานี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อศึกษาการใช้ยาซึมและยาสลบชนิดต่างๆ เพื่อจับบังคับสุนัขจรจัดสำหรับผ่าตัดทำหมันในพื้นที่จังหวัดสงขลา โดยศึกษาระยะเวลาออกฤทธิ์และต้นทุนของยาซึมและยาสลบชนิดต่างๆ     ทำการศึกษาในสุนัขจรจัดในวัดและชุมชน  จำนวน  83   ตัว  แบ่งเป็น ตัวเมีย  61 ตัว  ตัวผู้  22 ตัว    โดยดำเนินการในพื้นที่ของจังหวัดสงขลา  ระหว่างเดือน เมษายน -พฤษภาคม  2554   ช่วงการรณรงค์ฉีดวัคซีนป้องกันโรคพิษสุนัขบ้าประจำปี      การศึกษาครั้งนี้  ทำการทดลองในสุนัข  4  กลุ่ม  คือ กลุ่มที่  1  สุนัขที่ไม่ดุร้ายและสามารถจับได้   จำนวน  37  ตัว ใช้ยา Atropine sulfate  ขนาด 0.04 มก./กก. + Xylazine hydrochloride  ขนาด 1.5 มก./กก.  ฉีดเข้ากล้ามเนื้อ และตามด้วย  Nembutal®   ฉีดเข้าเส้นเลือดดำ  จนระดับความลึกของการสลบเข้าสู่ระดับที่  3 (stage of surgical anesthesia)   กลุ่มที่  2  สุนัขที่ไม่ดุร้ายและสามารถจับได้  จำนวน 28 ตัว ใช้ยา Atropine sulfate  ขนาด 0.04 มก./กก. + Xylazine hydrochloride  ขนาด 1.5 มก./กก. + Zoletil50® ขนาด 5 มก./กก. หรือ 1 ซีซี ต่อน้ำหนัก 10 กก. ฉีดเข้ากล้ามเนื้อ    กลุ่มที่  3  สุนัขที่ไม่สามารถจับได้  จำนวน  13 ตัว  ใช้ยา Xylazine hydrochloride ขนาด 1 ซีซี + Zoletil50® ขนาด 1 ซีซี    โดยการเป่าด้วยลูกดอกยิงยาสลบ เข้ากล้ามเนื้อ   กลุ่มที่ 4 สุนัขที่ไม่สามารถจับได้ จำนวน 5 ตัว ใช้ยา Xylazine hydrochloride ขนาด 1 ซีซี + Zoletil50® ขนาด 1 ซีซี  โดยการเป่าด้วยลูกดอกยิงยาสลบ เข้ากล้ามเนื้อ  ตามด้วย Nembutal®  ฉีดเข้าเส้นเลือดดำ     ในการทดลองสุนัขทั้ง 4 กลุ่มจะถูกชั่งน้ำหนัก  มีการจดบันทึกปริมาณยาที่ใช้ ระยะเวลาออกฤทธิ์ของยาซึมและยาสลบในแต่ละกลุ่ม ผลจากการทดลองสรุปได้ว่า ในกลุ่มที่ 1,2,3 และ 4  น้ำหนักสุนัขเฉลี่ย (Mean) เท่ากับ 13.1,6.2,12.8 และ 17.8 กก. ระยะเวลาออกฤทธิ์ของยาซึมและยาสลบ เท่ากับ 16,7,8 และ 13 นาที   ต้นทุนของค่ายา เท่ากับ 27.54, 124.14, 210.36 และ 223.11 บาท   ต้นทุนค่ายาต่อน้ำหนัก 1 กก. เท่ากับ 2.10, 20.02, 16.43  และ 12.53 บาท  จากการศึกษาสามารถนำสรุปผลการทดลอง ไปใช้ประกอบในการพิจารณา เลือกใช้ยาซึมและยาสลบที่เหมาะสมกับสถานการณ์   มีต้นทุนต่ำ  และปลอดภัยสำหรับตัวสัตว์

Study of using sedative and anesthesic drugs
to restraint stray dogs for sterilization in Songkhla province

Abtract

                      The objective of this study was to use sedative and anesthesic drugs to restraint stray dogs for sterilization in Songkhla province.To study induction time and cost of sedative and anesthesic drugs.This study was conducted in temples and villages of Songkhla province during April to May 2011 rabies vaccination campaign. Experimental stray dogs were 83 consist 61 female and 22 male.This study provided stray dogs to 4 groups. Group 1 were familiar dogs that could handle.Thirty seven dogs were injected with Atropine sulfate 0.04 mg/kg. and Xylazine hydrochloride 1.5 mg/kg. IM then followed with Nembutal® IV until to stage 3 of surgical anesthesia. Group 2 were familiar dogs that had could handle. Twenty eight dogs were injected with Atropine sulfate 0.04 mg/kg. Xylazine hydrochloride 1.5 mg/kg. and  Zoletil50® 5 mg/kg or 1 cc per 10 kg. IM. Group 3 were non-handle dogs. Thirteen dogs were injected with Xylazine hydrochloride 1 cc plus Zoletil50® 1 cc by anesthesic dart IM. Group 4 were non-handle dogs. Five dogs were injected with Xylazine hydrochloride 1 cc plus Zoletil50® 1 cc by anesthesic dart IM and followed with Nembutal® IV. All groups were weighted and recorded. Amount of used Drugs and induction time in each group were recorded. The study found that average weight of Group 1 to 4 were 13.1,6.2,12.8 and 17.8 kg. respectively. Induction time of sedative and anesthesic drugs were 16,7,8 and 13 minute. Cost of drugs in group  1 to 4 were 27.54, 124.14, 210.36  and 223.11 Baht . Finally cost of drugs per 1 kg. of bodyweight were 2.10, 20.02, 16.43 and 12.53 Baht. From this study could apply the results from experiment to consider how to use sedative and anesthesic drugs for suitable circumstance conditions, lowest cost and safety for animal.
